Well, Bec won her badminton match! She's the only one out of ALL the JV & Varisty girls to win a match! HOW COOL is that?! Needless to say she was pretty happy and me & her pops were pretty proud of her. It's unbelievable what a 360 she has done in the past year. She has really grown and matured. She has a much better outlook and I can't help but think that it's partially due to her weight loss (even though it's only about 25 pounds...it has made a difference).
Sarah didn't win hers but she went down fighting. She was happy for her sister though and said they'd probably make a big deal about it on the announcements at school. That's so cool!
Hubby & I went to the gym alone last night, the girls were spent from the badminton games and cheerleading (my Freshman). We spent 30 minutes on the Cybex Gazelle, 35 minutes on the stationary bike and 15 minutes doing strength training on our biceps & triceps. Hubby griped ALOT about the strength training but did it anyway. It was amusing!
Weekly weights & measurements are tomorrow. I'm curious to see how I've done this week. I am thinking, as I shared with my YOAD message board group, that I'm going to start to level out to a 2-3 pound loss weekly vs. the larger losses that I've had in the past. I know that the more fit I'm getting, the harder it is going to be to lose the weight. It's going to get tough but I'll have to push through it (even on the days that I don't want to). The rest of the family is going to have to weigh & measure too--all of them but hubby skipped it last week. I think they were feeling bad and knowing that it wasn't going to be good. Hubby is still hanging in there but the girls waiver a bit at school. (They don't have any junk food at home so I know it has to be coming from school---I sure don't buy it). We'll see. I hope they'll get a bit more focused about weight loss. It's one thing to complain about losing weight BUT if you don't want to do something about it, DON'T complain.....ya know?!
I guess that's about it for now. I'll be going to the gym after dinner tonight, as usual. I think I'll do a class tonight though, instead of 60 minutes on the machines. It's time to mix it up a bit. I get bored with the machines sometimes, especially lately and I don't want my body to get into a rut or routine. I think tonight is 50/50--I'll have to check the schedule. If it is, I like that class and so does hubby.
Have a super day! Believe in yourself! YOU can do this! I CAN and AM doing it too!
Hugs,
Shannon

Yay, Bec!! And double yay on the 25 pounds too...Shannon, remember how much better you felt when you'd "only" lost 25 pounds? lol
I've noticed that since about the 35 pounds lost mark, this has been getting harder. My weight isn't changing nearly as fast anymore. It's still pretty steady...I just want more...LOL
Have fun camping!!
Elizabeth
Thanks! I can totally relate. Things are slowing down but we're still chuggin' along. WE CAN DO THIS! :-)
I can't wait to meet you in "ONE-derland"!! I will be there in the next month-6 weeks, you can count on it! :-)
Hugs,
Shannon
