Busy, busy, BUSY!

Hi everyone!
Wow, it's been a busy few days. On Friday, I went to the gym in the AM because my Dad had to have a cardiac cath at 2pm. I did 40 minutes on the treadmill (from 5-12 elevation and from 3-4 mph) then did 20 minutes on the Cybex. It was a good workout and I was glad I made time to do it.

After the gym, I came home and showered so I could meet my Dad up at the hospital.
Everything went great for him! He didn't have to have any more stents! It was wonderful! He even got to go home that night, vs. both of us spending the night in the hospital. (I'm an RN, so whenever he has to stay the night at a hospital, I always stay with him. It gives him extra security so he doesn't worry as much).

On Saturday, I (and many of the parents from our troop) worked/volunteered to sell concessions at the AZ Cardinals game. My GS troop is working to earn enough money to go to Europe this summer, so we've committed to sell concessions every game. We're hoping it will gain us about $10K towards the trip. WOW, were my feet tired. It I spent about 11 hours on them and they were ready for a break. We won't know how much we earned until next week. I hope we did OK. I know the tips were bad...LOL! We only made $18.50 in tips.

On Sunday, we spent about 1.5 hours at the gym (I did 35 minutes on the treadmill and 31 minutes on the Cybex. I also did some stretching). We hung around the house some and played cards. We went to church and just really enjoyed the day.

Today has been pretty good. I've just been doing some housework (dishes, laundry, basic cleaning up) and reading posts on my YOAD message board. (I'm off on Mondays, so I like to catch up on everything) I am hoping to have my sister come with me to the gym this afternoon. We'll see if she'll come. We have a GS meeting tonight, so I'll be doing some prep work for that AND we have "Meet the Teacher Night" at the high school. It'll be prety busy later on, so I have to fit the gym in today instead of tonight.

I made some YOAD oatmeal cookies yesterday. They were yummy! I had 5 small cookies (they were about the size of a 50 cent piece) and some non fat milk. YUM!! That's the first time I've had cookies since beginning on YOAD. It also is the first YOAD cookie I've ever had. It really was delicious! I used the Splenda brown sugar for the first time too.....it was good.

That's about it for now. I'm going to input some measurements from last week shortly. I'm going to create a more organized format so I can see a week by week change at a glance.
Keep an eye out for it.
:-)
Shannon
