WHEW!

Well--the in laws came, broke, ate and moved in a 24 hour period. We helped them move into the house they are renting for the next 6 months yesterday after work. They spent the night in their new house. It's been an interesting day, to say the least. I'm going to cut and paste what I posted in my YOAD message board yesterday morning so you have an idea of the evening.....

Ugh what a night with the inlaws. I had forgotten what it was like to have so many little ones around. They were like a 5 man wrecking crew! My dogs are freaked out, my kids are freaked out and I'm a little freaked out too! They are supposed to sign the lease to their home today, so hopefully we'll be able to get them in there today or tomorrow. I'm not sure how long my sanity can take them. When they got here I made dinner of turkey burgers, corn and salad. They all pretty much turned their noses up and gagged it down. They kept complaining they were hungry later. I offered them anything I had but their mom said "We don't eat that stuff" (Mind you, she's about 150 pounds over weight). She asked if we could go to Wal Mart at about 9 PM, so we did. She bought basically junk--cereal full of sugar, sugar yogurts, cookies, whole milk (UGH). When she got home 4 of 5 kids all ate a big bowl of fruity pebbles....UGH! (The oldest one, who is also at least 100 pounds overweight, didn't eat anything. She loved the dinner and is an absolute doll)! My stomach was just churning at the thought of consuming all that sugar. (Which by the way, I thought was extremely rude to buy all that junk in the first place and bring it into the house--is that petty?)I can't even begin to share what a fiasco it is having them around. I have honestly never had guests that just are on a literal seek and destroy mission (a pair of 4 year old fraternal girl/boy twins--that hardly speak--and a 7 year old boy with NO manners and that don't listen to instructions AT all). The older two girls, 11 and 14 are adorable and stuck watching the little ones most of the time while their Mom sits around. GRRRRR!

Lots of fun huh? Well, needless to say I sent all the junk food home with her. Packed it up and moved it along---I don't need that stuff around. Last night I pulled out the produce drawer, of my less than 6 month old refrigerator, and they broke that too (the little ones had to have been standing on it to have broken the track like that). I was so pissed! I'll have to contact the company to see if I can get a replacement drawer. GRRRRRR!! (Later on my oldest daughter said that they broke the chair in her room too--mind you, they were only there for about 20 hours...isn't that CRAZY?!?!).

OK--enough negativity! Enough of that vibe. Past is past, and I'm on to the NOW and the future. Hubby and I are getting back to the gym tonight, after a 4 day lay off (due to cleaning, prepping and having them here). I can't wait, I need to feel the relief from the built up stress!

I forgot to bring the gym measurements to work today. If I remember to post them tonight, I will. If not, I'll post them tomorrow with my weekly measurements (that I take at home myself).

Remember, if you are reading this YOU CAN DO THIS! Even with set backs, even if you are frustrated, even if your in-laws break all your shit (LOL!!!)....YOU CAN SUCCEED!! Keep moving forward, keep thinking positively, make good choices, drink your water and GET MOVING!
Hugs,
Shannon
