Measurements & Weigh In

Alright time for the weekly measurements. You know what? I am SOOOOO glad I started doing this! Thanks so much to my friend Rich, who is a true inspiration, for giving me the idea. It sure makes things more REAL when they are in black and white.

Weight & Measurements as of 8/2/07 at 8:35AM (last measured 7/19-pre vacation)
Weight-224 lbs (down 3.5 lbs since last measurement)
Abs-42.5 inches (down 1/4 inch since last measurement)
"Sucked In" Abs-40 inches (no change)
Chest-45.5 inches (down 1/2 inch since last measurement)
Right Arm-15 inches (down 1.5 inches since last measurement)
Left Arm-15 inches (down 1/2 inch since last measurement)
Neck-16.5 inches (no change)
Right Thigh-26.5 inches (down 1/4 inch since last measurement)
Left Thigh-26 inches (down 7/8 inch since last measurement)
Abd Apron (Pannus)-50.25 inches (down 1/2 inch since last measurement)

GRAND TOTALS SINCE BEGINNING MEASUREMENTS ON 7/12/07
-11 pounds
-2.25 inches off abdomen
-2.15 inches off "sucked in" abdomen
-3.25 inches off chest
-2.5 inches off right arm
-2.75 inches off left arm
-1 inch off neck
-1.5 inches off right thigh
-1 inch off left thigh
-1/2 inch off pannus (abdominal apron)

Total weight loss to date....................(drum roll please)
31 pounds
Isn't that exciting!! I've met my initial goal of 30 pounds!! My next goal is to break the 200 mark. I have 25 pounds to go for that. I want to have that lost in the next 10-12 weeks, so basically by Halloween I want to be 199 or less. I know I can do it! With the help of my friends on my YOAD message board, I know I can get there!!
OK. Back to the daily info.
Last night I exercised 30 minutes on the Cybex Gazelle and burned 400 calories. Then I used the treadmill for another 35 minutes and burned another 332 calores. Total calorie burn for last night's exercise=732 calories. That's pretty good. I know I need to step up the intensity of the work outs soon though. I need to get my heart rate up a bit more. I'm going to be working on that over the next few weeks. I can't wait to start my step aerobic rountine again, I really missed that while I was on vacation. I think I'll start with the "Strictly Strenghening" class on Saturday. We'll see how that pans out. I'm going to go check the message board. Hope you all are doing wonderful! Remember to walk 30 minutes every day, no excuses! YOU CAN DO IT!

YAY! I'm at 31 pounds lost right now too, and we have the next same goal also! 199 pounds, HERE WE COME!

YAY! for you Shannon! It's kinda weird, we're about the same weight have about about the same goal with about the same amount left to lose. I'M GONNA GET THERE FIRST....nyah nyah. Keep up the great work!!
