Well Mr. Scale was friendly to me again this morning for my weekly Thursday weigh in. I've lost another 3.5 pounds. That makes me down 39.5 pounds since starting YOAD in mid-May.
How cool is that?! Almost 40 pounds....GONE FOREVER!! YIPEE!! (I did my weekly measurements too but I forgot to bring them to work. I'll have to post them later on.).
I came into work today and told my sister that I had a 14-16 sized shirt on. She said, "Oh my God, when is the last time you wore a shirt that size?". You know what? I had to really think about that. Guess when it was? It was in high school. Holy cow, I have not worn the size I'm wearing, right this very minute, since high school. That kind of took me back a little bit. It's pretty exciting....a little bit scary too. I'm really happy about this weight loss, really, really happy!
I truly understand the old saying "nothing tastes as good as thin feels". Although I'm not "thin" yet, I'm getting there and I can totally relate to how much better I feel. I have more energy, I'm not tired all the time, I'm not crabby all the time and I'm enjoying & experiencing LIFE! It's AWESOME!
Hubby and I did a new class last night at LF called 50/50. It was a good one. We both enjoyed it and got a good workout. We even did a little extra at the end, since we were about 5 minutes late to class. We did 10 minutes on the Stair Master too. I tell you, we are in such better shape than we were 3 months ago, I can't even express it in words.
Tonight I have a GS Parent Meeting so I'm not sure if I'll get to the gym. If not, I'll be sure to walk at least 30 minutes in the Neighborhood (I am thinking I'll get to the gym though, after the meeting). I'm excited to get the troop going again this year. We've got some AMAZING things planned!
I better run! Keep on keeping on! Drink your water, get moving and believe in yourself! YOU can do this!! WE can do this!
Hugs from AZ,
Shannon

You are so AWESOME Shannon!
What a journey you have had. It's way cool that your hubby is into it also. Mine is a tennis pro. He just laughs at me. He has truley never made my weight an issue.
I showed him my blog for the first time today and all he said was where's my picture....what ev
I am so happy for your weight loss...can't wait to see more come off.
You and your family have a great time working out together!
Chari
I'm glad you're blogging Chari. Even if hubby isn't supportive of your efforts, people like Rich and I ARE!!
I'm pretty much dragging my husband along, because he needs to lose weight too (so do the kids). He has never seen my blog and really doesn't understand this portion of the weight loss. I'm OK with that, because I know it's working for me.
Keep up your great work too!
Hugs,
Shannon
