Hi!
I've been reading on Spark People this morning about motivation and overcoming obstacles/set-backs. I'm really glad I did! I've had a week of slowly slipping backwards and although my weight didn't go up, some of those old habits of over eating tried to creep their way back into my life. Well guess what? It's not going to happen!! This girl is bouncing back BIG TIME and I'm not going to go backwards. I'm buckling down and moving FORWARD and it started today! I've already done much better in my calorie intake, so far today than I have in the last few days. I also did great at the gym this morning and stayed until I burned 700 calories. I am riding a new wave of focus and determination!!
I found a few quotes that I think will help me along my journey. I want to post them here so they can motivate all of us. I'm also going to print them out and post them at home. I am FIRED up!!
"It is better to live one day as a lamb, than one thousand days as a lamb". (Roman Proverb)
"Fall seven times. Stand up eight." (Japanese Proverb)
"If you want the rainbow, you have to put up with the rain". (Dolly Parton)
I think those are great!! I think I'm going to make a collage of motivational quotes. I want to surround myself with positive words and positive energy as I make the surge to ONE-derland!! My goal was to get under 200 BEFORE Halloween! I WILL DO IT!
Have a super day!

What a great post! I'm so jealous of your attitude and energy right now since I've such a hard time finding mine lately. I know you will do this, and I'm so proud of you!

Wow, you go GF!
How does one burn 700 calories at the gym and how do you know. I know the machines tell you, but I know you are not on a machine for 2 1/2 hours. I don't use Spark People any more,
Marshall has me on Calore King, I really like it...most everything is in the data base.

Thanks ladies! I really appreciate your support!
Well Chari, you work your butt off! LOL!! I'm sure I weigh more than you do, so I am burning more than you right now when I exercise. (However, I push really hard for a minimum of an hour everyday at the gym).
