I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

Hello!
I'm finally back! Wow, it's been a wild week. I'm sorry for not posting sooner. Last Thursday evening we decided to go on a weekend trip to Prescott, AZ. (It's lovely up there and about 30 degrees cooler than the Phoenix area). Well that night I started having abdominal pains, they got a bit better and then worsened again Friday night. By Saturday they were so bad we decided to come home so I could go to urgent care. (I was so uncomfortable!!).

Long story short, I was diagnosed with a "very large, rupturing ovarian cyst". Oh boy, lucky me! Well I can tell you that those hurt. I think the "very large" part made it hurt even more. I'm finally on the mend though and hope to get back to the gym by this weekend. (I've pretty much been bed and house ridden since Saturday). The good news is I had little to no appetite, so I don't have to worry about lots of intake with no exercise. I'm sure I'll be around the same or even a pound or two less tomorrow than I was last week. UGH, not the way to lose weight at all. I would have much rather lost a pound by hiking through the Prescott mountains! Now that sounds WAY more fun than laying around....for sure!

I'm going to walk around the block tonight, depending on how I feel later. I want to slowly get started again, without pushing too hard. I don't want to get everything stirred up and in pain again. No thanks on that. I don't like taking pain pills anyway. The Advil was lots of help though. I did have to take a few prescription pain meds but only when I absolutely HAD to--I hate feeling loopy. (I think I get that from my Dad).

My oldest daughter came in 5th during her regional b-minton tourney. She gets to go to the State Tourney this weekend. Her doubles partner may end up crapping out on the team, so my middle daughter may get to go to state too (I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her. She wants to go SO bad and she's worked so hard this year. She's #1 on the JV team, so she should be the next one to move up to the Varsity level). I'll keep you posted.

So....I hope this past week has been good for all of you! If not, be sure to YOU turn and get headed in the right direction. YOU can do this!! WE all can DO it! We just need to work together towards that common goal. Don't give up---NEVER give UP! NEVER surrender!!

Hugs from AZ,
Shannon

Sorry about the week of silence. It was completely unintentional. I'm doing a-ok here. I'm just chuggin' down the line like the little engine that could! ;-)
Thanks for thinking of me you two! I really appreciate your friendship and support.
Hugs,
Shannon
