New Goals, New Attitude!

Hi All!
LTNS! I've been doing a lot of soul searching the last few days. I'm trying to get my head in the right place again. For some reason, I gave myself "permission" to slack off and gain a few pounds back. I'm not sure why that is though. The good thing about that is I have recinded that "permission" and want desperately to get back on track. The last 3 days I have been doing just that. :-)

This morning I got on the scale and I'm at 186 lbs. I have decided that by Memorial Day weekend I want to have lost to at least 150 pounds. I plan to make my actions meet my words too. I have strapped back on my pedometer. I am walking every day. I am exercising at home and am back at the gym. I feel good. I am also committing to write in a journal, post a message on this blog or post on my YOAD board daily. I know that helps me be successful....the lost 75 pounds proves that.

Today I start the Biggest Loser Challenge on Spark People. I want to make the most of it too. It will last the length of the TV show, which I think is 12 weeks. That will be pretty cool because it'll end around Christmas. I think some more weight loss and improved health will be a pretty great present to myself. :-)

I am not going to post my measurements anymore but I will post a weekly weight. I'm continuing to take weekly measurements but I've decided they should not be the focus of this blog....as it seems that they have been the main focus in the past. I think I need to make this more of an emotional link and less of a scientific one. (Which is hard for the scientist in me....I can surely tell you).

I also am hoping to take fairly regular photos. I want to watch the transformation and have it help motivate me forward. The trick will be getting one of the girls to take the pic...LOL.

On that note, I hope you all have a great day! Keep on, keeping on! We can DO this!!
Hugs,
Shannon
